Malden Parochial - French - Progress Report

CLUB MALDEN PAROCHIAL
TEACHER PALOMA CRESPO
TERM SUMMER 2017
PRESENTATION JULY 10 th 16:00

Learning a language is a lifelong commitment.

Our aim is to ensure children understand and learn to love the French language and to gain good listening and speaking skills. We use lively role play, games, bingos, songs and activities to make the French culture both enjoyable and memorable.
It is a pleasure to teach your children and I hope they enjoy as much as we do. If you have specific questions, please see me after the club or send an email to sarah@childrensclubs.com

TOPICS COVERED THIS TERM
Our new starter has settled in really well. As usual we revised our basic greetings “Bonjour Madame Paloma” (Hello Mrs Paloma), “Comment ça va?” (How are you?), “ ça va bien” (I am fine), “ ça va mal” (I am not good), “ ça va comme ci, comme ça”, “je m'appelle ….” (my name is ….), numbers up to 20 and colours orange, jaune, vert, noir, rose, bleu clair, bleu foncé et blanc .

We learnt some new animals, “les animaux de la ferme” (farm): “Le cheval (horse), la vache (cow), le mouton (sheep), le cochon (pig), le canard (duck) et la poule (hen)”.
Also we have learnt the different shapes: “le cercle (circle), le triangle (triangle), le rectangle et le carré (square)”.

FOR THE REST OF THE TERM WE WILL COVER
After half term we will find out about the difference between the adjectives “grand/e (big) and petit/e (small”).
Also we will practise the different shapes “le cercle (circle), le triangle (triangle), le rectangle et le carré (square)” and we will put together colours, shapes and size “un petit carré bleu (a small blue square) and un grand triangle vert” ( a big green triangle).

We will celebrate “la fête des Pères” (father’s day) and on the last week of term we will talk about Les vacances in France (holidays).

ALL TERM DATES AND REPORTS ARE ON THE WEBSITE www.childrensclubs.com.
Please remember that we expect half a term’s notice if you are not continuing.
We look forward to seeing you next term to continue your lifelong journey in French.
