CLUB HURST PARK
TEACHER PALOMA CRESPO
TERM SUMMER 2017
Learning a language is a lifelong commitment.
Our aim is to ensure children understand and learn to love the Spanish language and to gain good listening and speaking skills. We use lively role play, games, bingos, songs and activities to make the Spanish culture both enjoyable and memorable.
It is a pleasure to teach your children and I hope they enjoy as much as we do. If you have specific questions, please see me after the club or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
TOPICS COVERED THIS TERM
We started the term by talking about Semana Santa and the different traditions in Spain with the Procesiones where the images from the churches are taking out on the streets.
We learnt about the animals we can see in a farm like “perro, (dog), gato (cat), conejo (rabbit), oveja (sheep), vaca (cow), caballo (horse), pato (duck), pollo (chicken) and cerdo (pig)”.
If we go to Spain in the summer we will be able to buy “helados” (ice cream) with different flavours like “chocolate, vainilla (vanilla), naranja (orange), fresa (strawberry) and menta (mint)”. Also we can say if we like it “Me gusta” or not “no me gusta”.
Song: “Hola María, ¿qué tal?” (hello María, how are you? )
FOR THE REST OF THE TERM WE WILL COVER
Shapes: “Cuadrado (square), circulo (circle), rectángulo (rectangle) and triángulo”.
We will practise them together with grande (big ) and pequeño (small).
We will talk about places where we can go like “colegio (school), playa (beach), piscina (swimming pool), casa (home) and parque (park)”. Now we can answer the question “¿dónde vas? (where are you going?) Voy ( I am going to…) al colegio, voy a casa, voy a la playa o voy a la piscina”.
We will celebrate ‘El dia del Padre’ although in Spain it is celebrated in March.
Near the summer we will talk about our holidays in Spain
Song: “En la granja de mi tio”.
ALL TERM DATES AND REPORTS ARE ON THE WEBSITE www.childrensclubs.com.
Please remember that we expect half a term’s notice if you are not continuing.
