Fern Hill Primary - Spanish - Progress Report

LUB FERN HILL
TEACHER: Gema Torres
SUMMER TERM 2017
Our aim is to ensure children understand and learn to love the Spanish language and to gain good listening and speaking skills. We use lively role play, games, bingos, songs and activities to make the Spanish culture both enjoyable and memorable.

It is a pleasure to teach your children and I hope they enjoy as much as I do. If you have specific questions, please see me after the club or send an email to sarah@childrensclubs.com

TOPICS COVERED THIS TERM

BEGINERS:

This term we have continued learning about animals and we l also learnt to talk about where we live by learning vocabulary to describe the house: pared, ventana, puerta, chimenea…( wall, window, door, chimney..) rooms: cocina, salon, bano, habitacion (kitchen, living room, bathroom bedroom) and furniture: alfombra, tele, mesa, silla, cama, lampara…(rug, TV, table, chair, bed, lamp…).

INTERMEDIATE:

We have also learnt house, rooms and furniture vocabulary but we have practised as well to build up sentence using vocabulary in previous terms. FOR THE REST OF THE TERM WE WILL COVER:

After half-term we will learn family vocabulary (madre, padre, abuela….(mum, dad, grandmother) and body parts (ojos, manos cabeza, piernas…( eyes, hands, head, legs…) so by the end of the term we are able to say sentences like (mi madre tiene los ojos azules…(my mother has blue eyes). We will learn all these playing games like bingo and signing songs like head shoulders knees and toes in spanish.

ALL TERM DATES, REPORTS AND PRESENTATION DATES ARE ON THE WEBSITE www.childrensclubs.com. Please remember that we expect half a term’s notice if you are not continuing.
